I received a bag very similar to this one pictured at left as a holiday gift. It is hot pink and therefore perfect for me -- except for incredible feeling of guilt I get everytime I go to use it. It just seems wrong to walk around with an expensive little number like this. And plus it makes me into one of those girls. Ugh.

Oh goodness I know exactly how you feel. I own a burberry bag and a coach bag - handed down from my aunt, so it's not QUITE so bad. But I don't actually use them very often because I too am trying to avoid becoming one of "those girls". After reading your post I've come to the conclusion that we could never be one of "those girls"; it's a package deal - much more than a trendy bag. Don't worry, I dwn't think any less of you if you'll show me the same in turn. :)
